Long before THE CRATE REBELLION...

Continuing their tradition of theatrical beat tapes and sound. This time around, The JADE PALACE GUARD is happy to introduce GOODMONK the PALACE DRUMMER of Jade Palace lore. GOODMONK also known as T.J Goode or Percival Roman is a Free Jazz and Experimental drummer and percussionist. He originally crossed paths and did battle with JADE BADGER way back in the Midnight Kids Academy days. The results of said battle and the story involving such was lost. UNTIL NOW.

These 10 tracks are a collaboration of GOODMONK'S up beat, positive charged, and tribal drumming technique. Combined with the rugged often darker soul of the JADE PALACE troop. Bringing a very nice Yin Yang sort of flow to this tape. Joining in on some sessions is SLEPTEMBERS who brings the signature ring of the SP 202 to tracks like "Yin Yang Sect." and "Showboat Matinee" also LOCKSMITH lends his skills on the boards and the SP404 to this tape which offers a very "Live Beat" type of sound.

The story of "PALACE DRUMMER" is one that started as a battle and ended in an alliance. We are very pleased and honored to have GOODMONK lend his positive vibes to the JADE PALACE and help keep balance in the upcoming events that will unfold during this CRATE REBELLION.
